So many have asked about changes at Lindsey's Resort with new owners. Let's get into it.

Enormous! That's the only way to describe the path left for us to follow when we took over Lindsey's Resort. Granted, that path is clearly marked, and there are signs to point us in the right direction. Today, without going into super complex details, I want to talk about change: what's new, what's been reworked, and most importantly, what these changes mean for our guests.
The name and this place, it will ALWAYS be Lindsey's Resort, always. We needed to establish some legal boundaries, notifying the business world and everyone in it that we aren't working from the same book of business as the Lindsey family or the company that owned the resort for more than ten years.
Technology for booking your stay, guided trip, fishing boats, ordering food that will be on the boat waiting for you for your day on the river, and buying gift certificates on the phone is still an option, and you also have the option of booking online.

The Property: Purchased by investors in December 2024, the resort remained shuttered until we came into the picture in late summer 2025.
New numbers were assigned to each of the cabins by the Office of Emergency Management. The entire property, for years, was designated as 350 Rainbow Loop, and now only the commercial aspects, restaurant, hotel, Lucky Trout Lodge office, marinas & event center have that address. The larger cabins just east of the hotel buildings are designated as 1-14 Resort Loop.
The larger cabins, tiny cabins in the campground, and the RV spots are designated as 19-44 Resort Road. If a guest needs to call 911, this should make the response time for emergencies much quicker.
It can get confusing, so for ease of understanding, here I will make reference to both old and new cabin numbers, with the number in parentheses being the old numbers.
Before we came along, cabins 2 & 3 (20 & 21) were sold to (wonderful) individuals and are no longer part of the rental inventory.
On this site, Lindsey's Resort you can book the last three couples cabins located directly on the river 1,6, 7 & 8 (Formerly 19, 24, 25 & Cloud 9), the 2-bedroom/2-bath in the curve and the tiny cabin behind it are 13 & 14 (29 & 30), all 4 couples cabins on the ridge overlooking the lawn, the tiny cabins in the campground and the RV spots can all be reserved on our booking platform by clicking here. Lindsey's Resort
The hotel-style cabins in the L-shaped buildings on either side of the swimming pool, cabins 4 & 5 (Formerly 22 & 23), & 2-bedroom/2-bath cabins 9, 10 & 11(Formerly 26, 27 & 28), can be booked on an external site as they are part of what is now Lucky Trout Lodge.
A concrete boat launch has been built and is exclusively for the use of our registered guests.
A new 30-slip marina was completed just before the winter storm in late January that resulted in the collapse of the existing commercial dock. We are shifting all marina operations to the new dock for the time being. The structure that will replace the old wooden commercial dock is currently being fabricated, and work to float it onto the river will commence very soon. It will look much like the new marina and will offer expanded amenities such as a much larger store, a full-service bait shop, boat parking for restaurant guests, and more.
The decking from the old dock is solid, and in the spirit of sustainability (and memories)
will be used to build an outdoor event venue where we will host music and events, as well as be a new event option for weddings.
The remainder of the decking will be used to build platforms in the campground, and glamping options will be available for booking on the website beginning in late spring. What we will offer will be something like what's shown in this photo.

For the sake of transparency, we work hand in hand with the folks at Lucky Trout Lodge. We all came into this together, and our goals mirror one another as well as the teamwork we share on a daily basis. The same resort experience is what you are getting; this hasn't changed. If you are a guest on the property, the restaurant and private club put you at the top of the seating list (only behind other like party size guests on the list) use of the boat launch, the trout fishing dock, you'll be able to use the swimming pool, participate in our lawn games, borrow our board games, pull up a chair at the social bonfire in our new large fire pit, listen to the live music and entertainment on our stage and outdoor event venue that's being constructed in the next few weeks. Once you get past the booking portion, there are no lines drawn.
All of our cabins now have lodge-style linens. While there are no themes to the cabins, you'll see a lot of plaid, buffalo check, traditional quilts, and some classics too.
The restaurant space is now where the office and store were located. Nearly 100 can be seated in the restaurant, and our party room will accommodate up to 50. Reservations are no longer required to dine in the restaurant, but are accepted through a link on the restaurant page of this website. Our hours will be 3pm-9pm Thursday-Monday evenings to start and will expand as demand warrants.
As soon as the commercial marina is completed (same builder, limited craftsmen), a balcony will be added to the restaurant with doors and partitions enabling both restaurant and private club patrons to enjoy the space.
Dirt work for an overflow parking area for the restaurant and boat trailer parking just upstream on the more than 8 acres of property that was recently acquired.
POS and handheld ordering systems connected directly to a screen in the kitchen to reduce wait times and errors.
Coming soon on the property, we are building several dozen condos with dedicated boat slips as well as another marina just upstream on the more than 8 acres recently acquired for that purpose. These units will be for sale through us and not listed with any real estate company. Send us an email to get on the list of inquiries.
Communicating with us
Not much has changed aside from a dedicated line for the restaurant with an option to leave a message. The phone number for the resort hasn't changed.
